I am 11

Scrapbook Page Simple Stories Domestic Bliss by Katherine Sutton

Each month Ann Freeman sets everyone a challenge over on the ATDML blog and you can win a £5 gift voucher...this month she used this image...

I loved the squares and the large writing, so I dug out some Domestic Bliss papers (and there is a little bit of Reset Girl in there too) and set to work.  I have been playing a bit more with hand cutting papers rather than using a guillotine to get a different (slightly messier) effect - I can't cut straight!  I cut out several squares using a template to make sure they were around the 4" square size, then set layering them up.  For my large alphabet I used the WRMK mini alphabet punch board for the title and in the process discovered there is an app that you can get which shows you all the patterns for the different letters and numbers!  I then used lots of stickers and added some enamel dots too.

Do check out the link above if it inspires you to and share your page.

Wake up with a Smile

Hello everyone, here is a page I made for A Trip Down Memory Lane - it uses a mix of Kaisercraft's Ubud Dreams and Sea Breeze papers.  I decided to use lots of the patterns together and cut lots of different length strips - it's a great design for using up those odd bits of papers.  I distressed and layered the edges of each of the pieces.  I used my Tim Holtz mixed media dies and some cogs, then just used lots of bits of the Collectables and the title is from the Seabreeze paper Lake.

The photo is a wintry beach walk, and this young man is normally a very smily, joyful person who brings lots of laughter to our lives, so the words seemed to fit.

Here is a close up of some of the Tim Holtz dies - I used the waste hexagons too.  Also you can see all the beautiful layers of papers.

Follow your Heart with BoBunny Down by the Sea and a video

Hi - firstly Happy National Scrapbooking Day!  To celebrate I wanted  to share with you my first video for BoBunny.  The video takes you through some of their new products and also shows how I made the page from start to finish and a fun effect with crackle medium -  I really hope you enjoy it.  The video is at the end of my post or you can just go to their Utube channel here which shows you all of their videos.

I won't write too much more as you can see it all in the video, but they have some beautiful new products - the papers are lovely and the dies sand stencils are gorgeous.

Have a lovely scrappy day :)

Smile and Family with Pebbles Simple Life

This is the 2nd class that I created for the A Trip Down Memory Lane retreat using Simple Life by Pebbles - I love the yellow and blues in this line.  My pages were focussed on having white space, and were really clean - a more gentle introduction to the weekend before my messier class that I posted on Monday!  The puffy stickers in this range are really nice - they have a mat finish to them which I love.

Here is the 2nd page, I couldn't resist a little bit of cosmic shimmer ancient copper mist across the white space, just little bits of embossing and lots of tags, you could add more photos if you wanted.

It was a really fun weekend with lots of inspiration and loads of different styles of classes to do, from the messy to clean and simple and easy to put together.  I will show you some of the pages I made during the other classes over the coming weeks.

My Boys and Life is Good with BoBunny Life in Color and rust...

Over Easter A Trip Down Memory Lane hosted their bi-annual retreat just outside of Colchester, and I taught 2 classes.  Here is one of them using the beautiful Life in Color papers by BoBunny - they are a great set, especially in my mind for the boys in your life, but that don't let that stop you from using them for girls!  We used the Pentart iron powder and reagents to create a rust effect on a Tando chipboard clock, and then did bits of stamping and fussy cutting to create the first page.

Here is a close up of the rust.

we cut out lots of the frames and distressed the edges of the papers.

For the second page we used BoBunny's graphite glitter paste through a brick stencil and some petrol coloured pearls.  Lost of layering and a little bit of fussy cutting to create this page.

The graphite glitter paste adds a really soft glitter to the page, and works with stencils really well.
