Trust your Journey with BoBunny

I wanted to share with you a page and video that I made using BoBunny's Penelope collection.  It has beautiful blues and greens and browns in it, but I went just for the greens and browns because of my sons t-shirt!

I used stencil paste to add my first layer and then lots of strips of paper in varying sizes and widths - it would be a great design to use up scraps as well as whole sheets.  I fussy cut out lots of the flowers and cut the title from the papers.  I added flowers and gems, laser cut chipboard and the really delicate wood veneer bird cages - all of which are from BoBunny.

I cut into the petals for each of the flowers so I could curl them up.

Here you can see the layers of gems, flowers and papers.

I distressed the edges of all my papers, and add some flicks of silver as well as the layer of stencilling too.

Here is the video for you.

Christmas Sparkle

This month I had some of BoBunny's Carousel Christmas in my pack from ATDML.  I started my page with BoBunny's Snowflake stencil and some gold glitter paste, I then added some golden mist too.  I layered up some of the papers and cut out a Christmas tree which I decorated with gems and pearls to add a little more sparkle.  I added a doily and a die cut, distressed lots of edges, added some twine, and then used my stamps from Shimelle for the title (I love this font!)

I hadn't realised the gold drops of paint would come through my stamping, but I really love it!  I stamped over the gold mist!

Here you can see the glitter paste, the stickable stencils have really delicate images and give a beautiful finish when you want something really detailed in a stencil.

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas

Some more Falala but this time on a page, I used grey as my base and then added lots of snowflakes from BoBunny's Christmas Card die and also their stamps too.  I printed out 2 photos on my selphy and really like them joined together, so left them that way and just mounted them on red.  In the collection there are lots of elements you can cur out like the Father Christmas and the title, I added some of the Laser Cut Chipboard (the red sparkly present) and covered it in sparkly red embossing powder, and then layered up one of their Wood Veneers with the date on.  The red sledge is also one of the Christmas wood veneers and I covered this in red embossing powder too.

I layered up my title on some die cuts from the label die set and added lots of snowflakes around it.

Here you can see the embossed present - I like the way you can see the layers behind it.

More cards with BoBunny Falala

I had a play with Pentarts media inks for these cards, and started with some glossy paper (you can find all the product details here) and just drops of the ink that I painted across the paper on a diagonal.  It is so much fun!  I then used the Feeling Festive stamp and archival ink to stamp on my first card, the second card I used the BoBunny Christmas card die cut in white and that is all!

I had a play with a few backgrounds for this I added in drips of dilettante and made more of a splodgey background!  I then used the Circular Texture stamps to make some baubles and hung them on my card.

Some more stamping on the alcohol ink background, this time with the Russian dolls from Feeling Festive, then layering them on lots of Falala papers.

Christmas Cards with BoBunny Falala

Here are some cards that I created using BoBunny's Falala collection - it is a beautiful Christmas collection without a beautiful teal-ish green in it, loads of stockings and trees and trucks carrying trees.  For my fist card I used one of their Christmas stamps for the snowman and coloured it in with glitter paste and watercolour.  I then added some stencilled snowflakes using their snowflakes stickable stencil.
For my next card I had a play with their Christmas Card die which creates a beautiful frame and then you get lots of beautiful snowflakes and the phrase Merry Christmas (which is on my first card) - lots of layering of the papers and then some pearlescent pearls around the edge and the card was complete.

In this paper range is this beautiful patchwork snowflake paper, I love the way the blue, red and teal set each other off.  You get lots of cut apart bits on the noteworthy paper so I cut out the lights and the tag, just adding a few gems and more pearlescents to complete the card.

I will be back with some more cards later on in the week.  Wishing you all a lovely Christmas.

Versailles and a Video

On our holidays we popped into Versailles on our way around the edge of Paris (it was lots of fun with bikes on the roof and trying to find a car park without a height restriction, in French!).  It is so beautiful and I definitely want to go back and explore it more.  I used BoBunny's Garden Party for the page, and there is a video too which you can find here.

I added lots of stamping and had a play with some of the beautiful Pentart metallic paints, dyeing gauze and using them to edge my papers.

I used balloon stamps from the Dreamer collection and silver and purple inks to compliment the papers.

I love this clock die-cut...I think I could use it on any page! I also had a go at edging all my papers with purple to try and make them stand out a bit more.

Cards with BoBunny Family Recipes

Here are some cards I made with BoBunny Family Recipes - I am enjoying card making more now - and not getting too stuck with what to do which is good.  I love making mini-mixed media pieces which you can see from the cards here.  I also love the delicate frame die-cut from the Congratulations Card die set by BoBunny.  I used the 6" pad for all of the cards which meant that the elements I cut out (like the little oven gloves) were all the perfect size.

Next more die-cuts - this one is Tic Toc and lots of the confetti paste!

More die-cuts with the mandala die, some bunting, hessian, wire...more confetti paste.  Lots of fun to make.

If you want to see anymore details then you can see the blog post here.

Altered Bakers Tray/ Cookie Sheet with BoBunny Family Recipes

Here is a an old Bakers Tray - it had seen better days (I did buy one from pound land to use instead, but thought I would see how well the Pentart paints covered the old one, and they did a great job).  I did prime the tray first and added a few coats of Pentart Peach Chalk Paint.  I used some of BoBunny's artist stencils and their clock die cut and then made lots of flowers from double dot papers and cut out lots of kitcheny embellishments from their new Family Recipes range.

I have posted a full product list on the blog plus a flower tutorial to show how I made the red and yellow flowers - you can find it here.

I repurposed some old fridge magnets layering up papers and adding a few fussy cut elements.

Here you can see all the layers.  I have added a couple of holes in the top using my big bite and added string, it now hangs in my craft room!

Gullfoss

With the Summer Holidays over now here is a photo from my holiday last year - I meant to share it with you ages ago!  I made it for the ATDML Chinese Whispers challenge for the Retreat - I was first in my line and was given a sketch by Karen Moss (who has just set up her own etsy shop you might want to check out here with lots of her creations) and then passed on a photo of the page to the next person on the list.  We had about 10 people in each group so by the time it got to the final page in the row it all looked quite different.  Anyway I can't take credit for the design - just the papers as I stuck really closely to the sketch and didn't change it at all so you could see how it developed.  The papers are all from BoBunny's Faith range - I love the bright colours, and I teamed it with pearls, enamel dots and butterflies.

I've just created a video for BoBunny for one of my pages, so you can check out the post here - I am trying to become a slightly tidier video-crafter....and I think I started reasonably well....but then I just get on a roll and then it gets messy!!

Sunshine Travel Journal with BoBunny

You can see some more details about this on the BoBunny blog...I have lots of pictures.  Early in the summer we took a quick trip to Wales and I decided to have a go at creating my own travel journal.  After a little research I decided to have a go at some Coptic binding, so you sew each layer to make the book, and the plus is that it creates a sturdy book that opens flat, which is perfect when you need to stick and glue stuff down and don't want the pages to get stuck together!

I added lots of photos and created some little journal spots that I took with me.  I also used a few of the different Bobunny stamp sets, and had watercolored in some of the Woodland Critters and added some of their planner stamps to my journalling to make it look a little more pretty.

I kept the pages fairly clean and simple as I didn't really have the luxury of lots of paints in my tent!  I did start this book when we were away.

I love the bear stamp in the Woodland Critters collection, and I know there aren't any bears in Wales, but they are lovely :)  I also added one of the emoji die cuts too.

This world is a Canvas

Here is another page I made with my ATDML kit using Graphic45's Nature Sketchbook.  I started with some strips of torn paper down the centre and then added a little bit of stencilling with black gesso, I also used some pentart wax over the top to bring out the stencilling.  I added my photo and fuzzy cut a butterfly, dragonfly and weather.  I then layered up some of the card stock flowers from this collection, curling the edges and adding a fuzzy black brad to the centre.  I used one of the journal cards as my title as they have beautiful phrases on them.

Here you can see some of the wax on the stencilled gesso, as well as the flowers and butterfly.

More layered flowers with a few gems hidden amongst them.  I love the blue.

There is a really nice assortment of phrases on the journal cards in this collection, here is just one of them.

Beach with BoBunny

Morning everyone, here is some more Down by the Sea with BoBunny - this is just one of the pages I made for the blog - it was one layout 3 ways - so if you want to see the steps to get to this point then check it out here.

I'm not normally a very pink sort of scrapper, but I really liked the pinks in this sunset photo and it just grew from there.  I added lots of pentart paints in golds and pink as well as some of the new glamour paints they have - they are full of sparkle and so pretty - you can see little bits of them in the close ups.

I added some shells that came from a 70s style necklace...and have proven very useful!

You can see some of the Noteworthy and chipboard pieces in the collection as well as the sparkly 3D chipboard.

I still use the viewfinder die as a go to layer on my travel pages, I added some stencilling and texture paste as well as stamping and gauze....lots of layers on this page!

Life is a Journey with BoBunny

This is an old frame, that had been a different incarnation for a Cybercrop by ATDML ages ago.  I freshened it up with Pentart paints and crackle glaze and then used BoBunny stencils and the Serendipity papers as well as a large BoBunny bloom.

I used lots of different mixed media products on this - bead paste, 3d balls, texture paste and metallic paints.

I used brayers, my fingers and paint brushes too!

The thick stencils from BoBunny give you a really deep image.

I toned down the pink flower with a bit of white gesso so it blended in better with my frame.

Ocean with BoBunny

So you know how you get these little boxes with wood veneer embellishments in - I decided to paint one and make it into a little ocean frame.  I used BoBunny's Down by the Sea papers for this, and started off coating my shadow box in white gesso, then some crackle medium and after that some Pentart blue acrylic - which I also mixed with white gesso to get the different shades.  I added lots of 3D stones in the base of my frame to make the rocky bottom of the sea and covered some gauze in blue paint to make a fishermans net.  I added a few die cuts, and then stuck all my bits on.  For the finishing touches I added pearls to the nets and then some of the silver confetti paste - which is the little sparkly hexagons.

I also used some gold metallic glamour paint (loving this product) to add a bit of sparkle.

Here you can see my net - the paint made the gauze more stiff so it holds it's shape really well.

Cards with Serendipity

I am not a confident card maker but was pleasantly surprised with how these turned out.  I used BoBunny's Serendipity papers, and their Congratulations die set.  I had a go at a stepper card - which was quite fiddly - mainly as it took me a while to work out the mats that I needed and sized for the paper - but it was worth it.  I added some flowers and a little butterfly from the papers, lots of inking and a little gold paint.

Here is my 2nd version of the same sort of card - I cut out some of the elements from the paper packs like the feathers and big pink circle.  I used the little doily die cut and added some bead paste for a little subtle sparkle on the feathers and butterfly.

You can see the shimmer of the gold paint.

This shows you the bead paste and some more gold metallic paint too.
