Farmers Market with BoBunny

Here are some cards that I made for a recent BoBunny Social Media post, I used their beautiful Farmers Market papers - I love the rich colours, and several of their pocket squares and dies.  You can see the collection here.

Here is my 2nd card, again a little bit of mixed media, and using one of their cut apart sheets for the sentiment.

To co-ordinate with the cards I made some little 4" boxes and again used die cuts and the Farmers Market squares to for the embellishments.

Pretty

I don't do many girly pages, but when I saw the Secret Garden papers by Bo Bunny (from A Trip Down Memory Lane) I had to scrap this shot as the colours went perfectly.  It's a quick snap of my niece from our holiday.

I started with a plate and a light pencil circle, then I punched out loads of little leaves with my Martha Stewart Punch.  Next I used some sugar glitter paste and the doily masks by Bo Bunny - the sugar glitter paste has a gorgeous iridescent glimmer to it, so you see loads of colours as it shines.  I punched out little flowers and butterflies from the papers, and then added some co-ordinating paper flowers in purples.  I layered some papers and some fussy cut flowers and a little bird behind my photo, then added lots of little pearls, and used some Bo Bunny pearlescent to make little pearl drops in the middle of my smallest flowers.

It was great fun to make, and I love this picture of her!

Chess

This page was very experimental -I've seen pages where the card stock colour has mostly been washed out and then appears in little places...so I had a go - I think I still need some more work at it, but it was fun to play...next time I need to add more colour on top.  I started with a dry brush of gesso over the page, and then used a stencil and some home made texture paste.  Then I added distress stains and a little bit of mist, and spray, then some stamping, then I went onto the papers.  I've used Bo Bunnys Take a Hike papers which were in my kit from A Trip Down Memory Lane.  I layered them up with some metal findings, and Noteworthy elements from this Bo Bunny collection.  The burlap banner is from Simple Stories and bark heart by Prima.

The photo is from our holiday in the Peak District where there were a few games of chess...in the sunshine!

Pingvellir

Having been on a spectacular holiday over the summer I decided to get some of the photos printed on a large scale (I loved the class that Mel at ATDML did on the retreat with big photos).  I used Bo Bunny's Take a Hike collection which went perfectly with the greens and blues of this beautiful area in Iceland - it is in fact the gap between the American and European tectonic plates and where the Icelandic Parliament used to meet.

I started with some strips at the edge of my photo (and a little bit of watered down gelato...just to add some paint). I used some of the noteworthy elements to build my piles of embellishments as well as Bo Bunny's view finder and cloud dies.  I added a feather that I picked up from the Flea Market range in the states, and also a cork heart from the works, some do-craft buttons and a little photo frame from Simple Stories.
